Super Mega Show Pictures and Con Report

Part One Comic Book Inker and Artist Dick Ayers

Super Mega Show is an interesting little autograph show in New Jersey that runs twice a year. I've been going since 2006 and what I love most about this show is that even though it's an Autograph Show they always run Q&A Panels at which George interviews some guests and usually I take pictures and video. I don't sell the video but I usually give George a copy afterwards. Sometimes I'll upload the audio of those talks here and at some point I may experiment with uploading some video clips of really good segments.
The best part of these is that the guests (You never know who will come up to do the talks until the panels actually start) are usually up for a little discussion and the room, for whatever reason, tends to stay small. That's great because it always gives me an opprtunity to get whatever questions I have asked to who's there and in the case of this year I had internet access so I was able to go over each guests credits while they were in the room.
For Dick Ayers I already had a terrific interview with him on tape from one of the last Big Apple Cons at the Penn Plaza Hotel the difference being this time I was able to dig into his a website and ask him about his WW II Bomber nose art and his work on one of my favorite books, Kamandi, The Last Boy on Earth. Way Cool!
